I feel like I found some treasure in these series of books Their explanations are clear and I like the NMC Code and Cluster explanations before each chapter The book is set out well and is easy on the eye The information on the book is highly relevant to a student nurse I would recommend this series of books to every nursing student.I like the activities and fund them useful The tables to explain the various assessments are great The books are not too big and look lovely on my book shop I will be buying all the series a little at a time. This book further exposed me to the basic core of critical patient care I advise this book to be read before sitting in class for a lecture on critical care..It makes the lecture simplerThank me later A fantastic resource for nursing students, especially in their third year. The abcde is used throughout the book and enables students to get an idea of what to look out for in the deteriorating patient. Fab book for any nursing student, I have a huge exam coming up soon I am hoping it will help me remember great find, great book. Only useful nursing students Too basic for an experienced nurse with very vague and ambiguous patient scenarios Also alot of repetition from NMC code of conduct book Too expensive for the basic information Waste of money I m a student nurse and this was fantastic for my critical care exams It explains everything in detail, easy to understand I ll be working in icu so will be great to use again. This book has been great for gaining understanding of this area At some point in each chapter ive read so far it has activities to get you to think about the situation and the action that you would take Very informative This book helps adult nursing students to competently manage care of critically and acutely ill patients, and to recognize and deal with the early signs of deterioration The book takes a practical real life approach to care, with each chapter focusing on patients with specific problems, then interweaving the knowledge and skills needed to care for that patient New to this edition two new chapters focusing on the renal system and endocrine system updates to include the latest evidence and guidelines from NICE refreshed activities and scenarios reflecting current nursing practice
